Renowned director James Powell is bringing back the theatrical version of the classical movie "Dirty Dancing" to various stages in the US, the UK and Australia.
The first stage production of the popular film was premiered in Australia in 2004 and it is considered to be one of the most popular shows, reported ABC.
Through the musical stage show, "Dirty Dancing: The Classic Story on Stage", Powell is recreating the story of a teenage girl Jennifer Grey, who falls in love with a dancing instructor, Patrick Swayze.
The screenplay of the film is penned by Eleanor Bergstein and choreography is done by Michele Lynch. Some of the songs to be featured in "Dirty Dancing" include "The Time Of My Life," "Do You Love Me?" "Hey Baby" and "Hungry Eyes", stated Play Bill.
The world tour of "Dirty Dancing" began on 26 August from The National Theatre in Washington DC and will conclude on 22 August 2015 at The Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury, UK. The stage drama will be played in theatres of Melbourne, Perth, Texas, Florida and California.
