Shooting of Suriya's "Masss" is going on in full swing in the coastal village of Munapaadu, near Tuticorin. The director of the movie, Venkat Prabhu, updated his fans about it through Twitter, where he also shared pictures from the shooting location.
One of the pictures showed Venkat Prabhu, Suriya and cinematographer RD Raja Shekhar in a jovial mood.
"Awesome time shooting at Manapaadu," tweeted Venkat Pranbhu.
It has been learnt that "Masss" is the first Tamil film that is being shot completely using 3D technology. The flick has Nayanthara playing the lead role opposite Suriya. Even though not much has been revealed about this film, it is reportedly a horror comedy film.
The film is also expected to have a lot of action scenes like any other Venkat Prabhu film. "Masss" is Venkat Prabhu's sixth film after "Chennai 600028", "Saroja", "Goa", "Mankatha" and "Biriyani".
The film is more special for music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja as this is his sixth film with Venkat Prabhu and seventh with Suriya after "Povellam Kettupar", "Nandha", "Mounam Pesiyathe", "Perazhagan", "Vel" and "Anjaan".
The music composer is also composing songs for Nayanthara for the eighth time. They have previously worked together in films like "Kalvanin Kadhali", "Vallavan Billa", "Yaradi Nee Mohini", "Aegan", "Boss Engira Bhaskaran" and "Arrambam".
"Masss" star cast also includes Pranitha Subhash, Jayaram, Parthiepan, Premgi Amaren, Samuthirakani, Karunas, Sriman, Sanjay Bharathi, Riyaz Khan and Ganesh.
The film will be the 50th film for editor Praveen KL. The screenplay of "Masss" is written jointly by Venkat Prabhu and Madhan Karky and the cinematography is being done by RD Rajashekar.
The film is being produced by KE Gnanavel Raja, under the banner of Studio Green.
