Since the release of Alphonse Puthren's blockbuster hit film "Premam" in May 2015, the Kerala audience have been waiting to see Sai Pallavi aka Malar on-screen again.
Recently, rumours suggested that Sai will star opposite Mohanlal in his upcoming army-based thriller film titled "71 War".
Rubbishing the rumours, director Major Ravi said he had no idea who was spreading such fake news.
"I have no idea who spreads these rumours. I have stopped caring for it. If anything is confirmed I will make the announcement," said Ravi, according to the Times of India.
The former Indian Army officer is currently busy with the scripting of the movie, which is based on 1971 Indo-Pakistani war. The film will reportedly show Mohanlal in three different roles and is expected to begin shooting by February 2016.
Mohanlal has previously been part of Ravi's blockbuster hits "Keerthi Chakra", "Kurukshetra" and "Kandahar" in the role of Major Mahadevan.
Meanwhile, Sai will next be seen in Sameer Thahir's upcoming untitled flick, which has young super hero Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role. For the shooting of the film, Sai will come for a month's leave from Georgia, where she pursues her medicine course.
