Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran's "Paavada", which is the actor's first movie of the year, was released across India on Friday, 15 January. The comedy entertainer has been directed by G Marthandan and is co-scripted by Bipin Chandran and Shibin Francis.
Prior to the release of "Paavada", there were reports stating that the film's producer Maniyanpilla Raju said Prithviraj had asked the makers to change the movie's script four times as he wasn't satisfied with it. The reports had it that the actor had rejected screenplays of "Paavada" written by four different script writers and later, gave a nod to Bipin's screenplay.
Now, film's director Marthandan has reportedly said that the producer's comment has been misinterpreted by the media. He stated that Prithviraj hasn't made any change to the screenplay of "Paavada" as he liked it and added that there were four different projects that the actor had rejected, before he was approached with the subject of "Paavada".
Prithviraj plays the role of a carefree man and drunkard Paambu Joy in "Paavada", which also has Anoop Menon, Maniyanpilla Raju and Miya George in main roles along with Renji Panicker, Siddique, Kalabhavon Shajon, Nedumudi Venu, Murali Gopy, Asha Sarath and Chemban Jose in pivotal roles.
"Paavada" is one of the most awaited projects of the year, as it stars Prithviraj, who ranks No. 1 at the Kerala box office with his hat-trick hits "Ennu Ninte Moideen", "Amar Akbar Anthony" and "Anarkali" in the second half of 2015. The actor also has a handful of projects in his kitty, including Jijo Antony's "Darvinte Parinamam", Sujith Vasudev's "James & Alice", Jamesh Kottakal's "Beautiful Game", Pradeep M Nair's "Vimaanam", Rosshan Andrrews' "Naale Ravile", Blessy's "Aadu Jeevitham", Jeethu Joseph's untitled flick, Jinu Abraham's Adam and epic drama "Kunchirakkottu Kaali".
