The idea of Shah Rukh Khan romancing Kajol is so thrilling in itself that when it actually comes to fruition one has to be excited beyond belief.
Fans on Twitter, who were growing impatient as the makers were readying themselves to launch the first song –"Gerua" -- are now content and loving the adorable moments the iconic pair is seen sharing in the video.
Composed by Pritam and sung by Arijit Singh, the number is charming.
Talking about it to DNA, SRK said the song captures his and Kajol's old-world charm in the most Rohit Shetty way possible.
Elaborating on the chemistry the two share with each other, the 50-year-old actor said they weren't looking at creating the magic they did two decades ago.
"At our age, we should not try to re-create the younger days' magic. We should rather try creating magic at the age we are in. That's what we have done in Dilwale. We are playing our ages in one whole half of the film," he added.
In other news, the "Dilwale" trailer has gone viral and has garnered over 13 million YouTube hits in less than 10 days.
Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon in key roles and will hit screens on 18 December.
