Rohit Shetty's "Dilwale", which brings Bollywood's iconic couple Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol back on the sliver screen, has been creating a huge buzz among fans and movie-lovers.
While the team has managed to keep the plot under wraps, Shah Rukh's role in the film has been revealed.
According to reports, SRK will play the role of a charming car modifier in the film. The superstar will be seen re-modelling automobiles to make them look attractive.
"SRK's character in Dilwale draws inspiration from three avenues. The fascination for cars comes from Ashok Kumar's character in Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi. The father-like elder brother aspect of the character has been sketched on the lines of Amitabh Bachchan's part in Hum," a source close to the film told 9XE.
"And the car modifier aspect of it comes from Dilip Chhabria, a renowned expert in the field who has also designed the most fancy vanity vans in the industry including almost every van that SRK has had in his tenure in the industry so far," the source added.
Besides SRK and Kajol, "Dilwale" also has Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, who will be seen as the younger couple. There were reports that SRK will perform some death-defying water stunts in the film.
This is Shah Rukh and director Rohit's second outing after the stupendous success of "Chennai Express" that collected Rs 100 crore in just four days of release.
"Dilwale" is slated to be released on 18 December, 2015.
