Veteran actor Dilip Kumar has again become a victim of a death hoax after a message of the actor passing away went viral on messaging app Whatsapp.

The message, that went viral, stated that the Bollywood actor died on Monday at Lilawati Hospital in Mumbai.

"Big loss of the film industry. Bollywood superstar Dilip Kumar is passes away at Lilawati Hospital of Mumbai," the message read.

However, the actor is well and fine and the message is nothing but just a celebrity death hoax.

This is not the first time the actor became a victim of the death hoax. Last year, when the actor was unwell rumours started doing the rounds that he passed away.

But megastar Amitabh Bachchan took to his Twitter handle to slam the rumours. Big B tweeted saying that "Some baseless rumours being spread about Yusuf Saheb - Dilip Kumar, being ill .. Saira ji just informed me he is perfectly fine."

The fake death message has not gone viral on social media and several people, who believed the message, posted condolence messages on Twitter expressing their grief.

However, several others slammed the news stating that it's pointless and baseless rumours.
