Malayalam film actors Dileep and Kavya Madhavan left on a honeymoon trip to Dubai following their marriage on November 25. Mollywood superstar Mammootty is said to be hosting a special party for the couple.
Dileep and Kavya Madhavan surprised their fans and colleagues from the film industry by tying the knot in Kochi. Later in the evening, the newly-wed couple were spotted at the airport. They were accompanied by Dileep's daughter, Meenakshi. Kavya was seen bonding with her step daughter. The photos of the trio went viral on social media.
Rumours about the relationship between Dileep and Kavya Madhavan had been doing the rounds for over a decade. But the couple always denied the reports. Even the news about their wedding was kept under wraps until the last moment.
Dileep and Kavya Madhavan are now said to have planned to stay away from Kerala for a few days in a bid to avoid prying eyes and questions. Their visit to Dubai seems to be an obvious attempt to spend quality time with the actor's daughter Meenakshi for a couple of weeks. Later, they are likely to fly to Singapore. Reports suggest that Mammootty is hosting a party for them in Dubai.
Dileep, who was last seen in Welcome to Central Jail, has four projects — Pick Pocket, Kammara Sambhavam, Prof Dinkan and Georgettan's Pooram — lined up for shooting. The actor is expected to start filming for Rathish Ambat's Kammara Sambhavam after returning from the honeymoon trip.
Kavya Madhavan was last seen in Dileep and Adoor Gopalakrishnan's film Pinneyum, which was released on August 18 2016. She has agreed to play the female lead in Jeethu Joseph's as-yet untitled project and is expected to start shooting for it after returning from the trip. The actress is said to be planning to quit acting after completing this project.
