Diganth and Aindrita Ray have given a new meaning to their years of relationship by tying the knot on Wednesday evening, December 12. Their wedding was performed as per the Hindu customs. [Crawl down for the pics and videos]
The wedding celebrations were kick-started with 'haldi' and 'sangeeth' on Tuesday, December 12, at Discovery Village resort on the outskirts of Bengaluru. The entire rituals were a combination of Bengali and Kannada culture.
Ragini Dwivedi, who is a close friend of Aindrita Ray, was seen all throughout the wedding event and had a great time with the couple as they enter a new phase of their lives. Sharing her excitement, the Veera Madakari actress tweeted, "Alwys got ur back baby girl ❤️❤️ Today u move into a special phase of ur life,all the love and wishes come from my heart to you ..U ar an amazing daughter and actor and now u will be an amazing wife .@AindritaR ps: I officially hand over my body guard job to u @diganthmanchale [ sic]."
Talking about her marriage, Aindrita Ray said, "We love leading simpler lives and choose to have a low-key and eco-friendly wedding."
The couple sent a message to the public from their social media accounts that they need people's blessings for their marriage. Not many from Sandalwood were invited for the wedding and it was more or less a private event. It was attended by the couple's family members, relatives and close friends. Sharmila Mandre and a few other celebrities were spotted at the event and the people with proper invitation were given entry to the venue.
Diganth and Aindrita have planned for a grand wedding reception on December 15 in Bengaluru which is expected to be attended by the bigwigs of Sandalwood. Prior to the wedding, the couple's pictures and photos from the sangeet had gone viral.
Diganth came in contact with Aindrita Ray when they worked together in Mast Maja Maadi. Their chemistry worked big time in Manasaare and worked together in a few movies that include Parijaatha.
