While Yo Yo Honey Singh was in hiding, Badshah filled in for him composing some great, catchy music, which party-goers connected with in no time. Now, Honey is back making some really controversial statements.
On the sidelines of the trailer launch of "Zorawar," when asked what he thought about his competitor Badshah, he made a strange comparison. "There's a difference between Rolls Royce and a Nano," DNA quoted Honey as saying.
Honey and Badshah share a warm past, which has, quite evidently, turned sour. Badshah, in an interview with Bombay Times said they used to hang out with each other until 2012, after which they decided to strike out on their own.
"He also has a natural charisma. His league is altogether different today and I feel happy for him. But even at that time, I was so attached to him that whenever his song was a hit, I used to feel more happy than him," he had told the leading daily.
This isn't a first for Honey, he has courted fair share of controversies in the past. The much-publicised one was his dust-up with superstar Shah Rukh Khan, which he always denies. "Nothing like this ever happened. I recently met Shah Rukh Khan after one and a half years. I spoke to him and even showed him the trailer when we met at the awards ceremony (Radio Mirchi Awards 2016)," he told BollywoodLife.
The popular musician also came clean about his enrolling into drug abuse rehabilitation programmes. He said he was suffering from a sleep disorder.
In other news, "Zorawar" is slated for a May 6 release.
