Shruti Haasan seems to have turned down Karthi and Telugu superstar Nagarjuna's upcoming movie. It has been speculated that she opted out of the project due to her other project with Ajith, which is currently titled as "Thala 56".
According to recent reports, Shruti Haasan had got the offer recently and she had considered it for some time. She wanted to be part of the project featuring two big stars, but the actress could not take it up as it could affect her dates with Ajith's movie. "Thala 56" is being directed by Siruthai Siva and produced by AM Rathnam.
Moreover, Shruti Haasan has signed a couple of movies and it would be difficult for her to manage the shooting schedules; hence, she opted out of Karthi and Nagarjuna starrer multilingual movie.
"With four films in her kitty, it had become difficult for Shruti to adjust her dates. She is presently shooting for films featuring Vijay and Mahesh Babu. Even a slight change in the schedule for one film is bound to have an impact on her other films. Shruti is committed to promoting her upcoming Hindi film Gabbar Is Back over the next few weeks as well. So, she decided to opt out," a source told the Times of India.
It was earlier reported that Shruti Haasan was going to romance Karthi in the movie, which is a remake of French film, "The Intouchables". The movie is directed by Vamsi Paidipally. Meanwhile, the makers have started searching for other actress to fit the role.
On the other end, Shruti Haasan is busy with her Hindi flick "Gabbar is Back" - a remake of Tamil hit movie "Ramanna" that was directed by AR Murugadoss. The actress' forthcoming movies are "Yaara", "Welcome Back", "Rocky Handsome" in Hindi, "Puli" in Tamil and a Telugu movie with Mahesh Babu.
