Rajkumar Hirani's directorial Sanju gave an insight into the real life incidents of his dear friend Sanjay Dutt in the biopic. Various aspects of Dutt's life were shown on celluloid including his jail term, his connection with 1993 Mumbai blasts and many other controversial events. However, one particular scene in the film had made fans curious as to whether Sanjay Dutt really slept with his best friend Kamli's (Paresh Ghelani in real life) girlfriend that night.
The particular scene in Sanju shows Ranbir Kapoor, who portrays Sanjay Dutt in the film, tries to help Kamli score for the first time with his girlfriend Pinky. While Kamli gets drunk and falls asleep, Dutt seizes the moment and ends up sleeping with Pinky. In the film, it has also been revealed that Sanjay Dutt had slept with 308 girls.
According to the reports that have been doing the rounds of the internet, Sanjay Dutt's real life Kamli aka Paresh Ghelani has admitted that the incident indeed took place.
Paresh's cousin Jai Patel, while speaking to Peeping Moon, had also revealed that the scene is a depiction of the real life incident. However, it was nothing but a prank.
"Sanjay is a big prankster and he even played a prank with Paresh once. Apparently, Paresh came home from a long trip and was tired due to jet lag and thus, went to the bathroom. When he woke up, he found out that in the night, everything had happened between Sanju and his girlfriend. The same scene has been depicted in the film with one of his girlfriends, Pinky," Jai was quoted as saying by the entertainment website.
