Tennis player Sania Mirza joked about Kangana Ranaut and Hrithik Roshan's legal war in front of the actress at an event. The crowd burst into laughter and Kangana took it sportingly.
According to a video released from the event, singer-turned-politician Babul Supriyo was asked to sing a song and he sang "Sitaaro Ki Mehfil." from Hrithik's film "Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai." To this, the host of CNN News 18's Indian Of The Year of 2015 asked Kangana whether she would give the singer a chance to sing for her films. The "Rangoon" actress replied: "Definitely yes."
Then, she turned towards Sania, who was sitting next to her, and asked her whether she liked the song. Sania, who was giggling since the beginning, said: "It was ironic that Babul chose that song." Kangana looked bit uncomfortable, but she handled it like a sport, while everyone was laughing. Babul then took the mic and said: "Let me be honest: that was a true political mistake."
Kangana and Sania received the Indian of the Year Awards in their respective fields. The "Queen" actress was awarded in Special Achievement Category (Female) and appeared her best, wearing a printed chiffon saree. Kangana, who made headlines earlier this year over her rumoured link-ups with Hrithik, is currently fighting a legal battle with him. In fact, her struggle was evident in her speech at the award ceremony.
"I know these words sound very shallow and clichéd at these events because they are so commonly used, but for me at this juncture of my life, it really means a lot. I remember the other day I was thinking how 2016 has been a little too eventful for me and I was feeling really low and how life can be sometimes putting you down in the dumpster and you feel, "Oh sh*t, there you are again at the rock bottom eh?' Then suddenly you get a call just like a movie scene like how we say in movies like a plot point... turning point you are Indian of the Year and you're like 'yayyy'," the actress said at the event.
"It's been that sort of an experience for me. These events or these thoughtful honours makes one's life seem like a good screenplay, not a boring film, and make you believe in the concept of magic, it's very important for artiste to believe in," she added.

Meanwhile, there is no new development on the legal war between Hrithik and Kangana. Apart from leaked emails and photos, several other revelations had turned the matter ugly. But, now it seems both the actors are dealing with the situation in a mature manner and focusing on their careers.
