Priyanka Chopra had apparently announced Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover's marriage even before the couple could make it official, and that has reportedly miffed the Bengali actress. Priyanka had April 6 congratulated Bipasha and her boyfriend Karan on Twitter, following which Bipasha had released a joint statement and announced she and Karan would tie the knot April 30.
Now, reports suggest it was PeeCee's tweet that had forced Bipasha to make an official statement on her wedding with Karan. "Bipasha was very upset when Priyanka tweeted about the wedding. She wanted her wedding to be a private affair. When Priyanka tweeted about it, Bipasha had to issue a press release announcing her marriage. She is away in the U.S. and had no idea Bipasha wanted to keep it a secret," Deccan Chronicle quoted a source as saying.
However, Bipasha later took to Twitter and replied to all the congratulatory tweets, including that of Priyanka's. There were many reports on Karan and Bipasha's relationship but the duo had never admitted it in public. The two also frequently holiday together at exotic locations and have been sharing pictures on social media.
Earlier, there were reports that Bipasha and Karan's parents were unhappy with their relationship and did not want them to get married. While Bipasha's father was reportedly unwilling to let her marry Karan, owing to his two failed marriages, Karan's parents were not happy with his girlfriend's past relationships. However, things are all set now as their wedding date has been fixed.
Karan first married Shraddha Nigam in 2008, but that ended in a divorce a year later. He then tied the knot with Jennifer Winget in 2012, but they had separated in 2014, and recently got divorced.
