An American magazine has come up with claims that Jennifer Garner allegedly had a huge fight with Ben Affleck over Lindsay Shookus. The 46-year-old actress reportedly warned him about the Saturday Night Live producer's ill intentions.
Life & Style article titled "Jen Warns Ben: Lindsay's Gonna Trap You," stated that the former couple reportedly had a tiff earlier this month, following rumours that Shookus might be pregnant with Affleck's child.
A source said: "They got into a huge fight. One of Jen's biggest fears is that Lindsay is going to trap Ben, but he refuses to listen."
"Ben thinks she's just jealous. And though they may just be rumors, Jen's not about to let Lindsay get in the way of what's rightfully hers," the insider added.
"Jen will never forgive Lindsay for stealing her husband, and knowing that she's living in the lap of luxury at Ben's expense must be downright infuriating," the source went on.
This comes after it was revealed that Affleck and Shookus had split earlier this month. The mother-of-one apparently could not cope up with his alcohol addiction. A source told People: "It was very hard for her to break up with Ben, but she knew he wasn't getting better and that it was time for her to step aside."
"She was trying to stay as close to him as possible so that he would stay on the right path, but ultimately it just wasn't possible. She knew she had to let him hit bottom," the insider added. "All she wanted was for him to be happy and healthy. It was a difficult choice but the right one."
"Lindsay had been supporting Ben's sobriety and going to meetings with him. She had him in meditation and they were doing it together. His recovery was something that was very important to both of them," the source shared.
Meanwhile, Shookus had opened up about her life and career in a rare interview. The 37-year-old producer revealed what it is like to be suddenly in the limelight.
"My entire career has been behind the camera, and that's definitely where I'm most comfortable. I'm a producer, I'm a mom, a friend. Being considered a public figure honestly makes me laugh," she told Elle.
"I've gone through a lot of change recently and I've gone through some really hard times, but I believe in who I am more, and I wouldn't give that up for anything," she added.
