Deepika Padukone, who has been immensely busy with her "Happy New Year" promotion, has apparently rejected a film's offer opposite Salman Khan.
Deepika had previously said that Salman is on her top list of actors and she wants to do a movie with him.
But if latest reports are to be believed then the actress has declined one more offer. According to Movie Talkies, Deepika was offered a role opposite Salman in his upcoming film "Sultan" which is slated to release in 2017.
"Sultan" is directed by Shimit Amin and is being produced by Yash Raj Films.
The reports said the "Happy New Year" actress rejected the offer, but the daily didn't mention the reason behind it.
However, other dailies reported saying that Deepika and Salman might share screen for the first time. But there is no official confirmation either from the makers of "Sultan" or from Deepika and Salman.
Meanwhile, Deepika was earlier offered to do an item song with Salman in his film "Kick", but she declined the offer. The makers later approached Nargis Fakhri for the item song.
There were even reports that Deepika has irked Salman by not accepting Rajshri Productions' "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo". Apparently, Salman wanted her to give dates for "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo", but instead she allotted her dates to director Imtiaz Ali.
She was also offered role opposite Salman in Karan Johar's ambitious project, "Shhuddhi", but she selected Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Bajirao Mastani" over it.
Deepika had maintained that she wants to work with the "Kick" star, but it is unknown why she would miss an opportunity to work with Salman.
As of now, the actress is busy promoting her film "Happy New Year" in India as well in international market. The film, which also stars Shah Rukh Khan will release on Diwali.
After "Happy New Year", the actress will work on "Bajirao Mastani" along with her alleged beau Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra.
