Deepika Padukone has reportedly rejected a big role that was offered to her by Aamir Khan for the mega project Mahabharata.
A report in Mumbai Mirror stated that Aamir approached Deepika with the role of Draupadi in Mahabharata, but the actress refused to take it up. It is not clear if she rejected it due to date issues or she is not interested in playing a mythological character.
Some time ago, it was reported that Aamir had already begun working on the ambitious project. It was stated that the actor had planned to make it a 7-part series, and each season would be directed by a different director.
Ever since Aamir had expressed his desire to make a movie on Mahabharata, a lot of speculations have been made regarding the star cast, and which actor would play what role.
However, once reports had also claimed that Aamir had withdrawn the idea of making Mahabharata considering the massive time it demanded. It was reported that the superstar had decided to drop the idea after he thought it would demand too much of time and money, and also might create controversy.
Nonetheless, there has not been any official confirmation regarding the making or withdrawing Mahabharata.
Meanwhile, Aamir's latest movie Thugs of Hindostan turned into a box office disaster. The film failed to impress both critics and audience. Later, Aamir accepted the failure of the movie, and apologised to his fans for not coming up to the expectation with his latest release.
