The Kpop music scene is awash with talent, what with bands such as EXO, Girls Generation, T-ara making a name for themselves at home and beyond. So, it is no surprise that a music competition featuring a talented bunch of music artists from South Korea is tough, challenging and incredibly entertaining to watch.
This week's "Show! Music Core" included some of the best kpop bands in the country. The show, which featured on South Korea's Independence Day, was one everyone looked forward to, as favourites BIGBANG were set to perform on stage. The vocal stylings of G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri dazzled audiences as they put on a spectacular display of tightly choreographed dance moves set to the rhythm of their songs.
Perhaps this won them the No.1 position in this week's "Show! Music Core." As the winner was announced, the BIGBANG boys took a moment to thank their fans and judges for appreciating and acknowledging them. The song that won them the trophy was '"Let's Not Fall in Love," reported Allkpop.
BIGBANG beat SHINee and Wonder Girls to earn the first spot. Other performances of the night included Seventeen, Baechigi, MAMAMOO, G-Friend, A Pink, GOT7, DickPunks, Wonder Girls, SHINee, B2ST, SONAMOO, B1A4, and Nolza.
The Kpop boy band has been riding on the success of their music. Currently, they are one of the most successful bands to emerge from South Korea and may take over PSY's place as the most famous Kpop star in the US. According to a report that appeared in Billboard, BIGBANG's "Lets Not Fall in Love" and "Zutter" occupied the top two slots in the World Digital Songs Chart.
