South Korean actress Kim Kim-hee is reportedly dating director/screenwriter Hong Sang Soo. According to the latest news, the two have been dating for nearly a year, but it seems as if the relationship has come at a cost.
Several reports claimed that "The Handmaiden" star lost her contract with her agency Forest Entertainment after news of her relationship became known. Interestingly, Forest Entertainment's representative said, "We don't know anything," reported Allkpop.
A Soompi article stated that industry insiders were well aware of Kim's relationship with the married director. However, it was widely reported only in June 2016.
Kim and Hong met during the filming of "Right Now, Wrong Then" in September 2015 and began dating soon after. The "Night and Day" director told his wife and daughter about his relationship with the actress and reportedly moved out soon after.
However, the director's family didn't take the news very well. The media outlet reported that Kim's mother was witness to a fight that broke out between Hong's wife and the actress.
Although both celebrities' families seem to be aware of their relationship, Allkpop quoted Kim's mother as saying, "I hope it will come to a settlement soon."
Kim is a critically acclaimed actress in South Korea, having several hit films to her credit. The 34-year-old actress was previously in a relationship with Lee Jun-jae in 2003 but the couple broke up in 2006. She later dated Lee Soo-hyuk and Jo In-sung.
However, neither side has issued an official statement about their relationship and more details are awaited.
