Bollywood has been a place where many actors come and go after doing a few films. However, there are a few who proved their acting chops in the first few movies itself.
Here are those few promising actresses who disappeared from the big screen after a few films:
Diana Penty
Leggy lass Diana Penty debuted in blockbuster film "Cocktail", in which she shared screen space with two leading actors, Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone. After the success of the film, Penty was expected to be seen in several films, but the promising actress has been missing in action for a while now.
Ameesha Patel
Ameesha Patel, who became famous overnight after her debut film "Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai" opposite Hrithik Roshan, left the film industry soon after. Few of her films including "Gadar" with Sunny Deol garnered her a few awards as well, but Patel disappeared after giving some flop films.
Bhagyashree
Beautiful actress Bhagyashree became the talk of the town and even toppled a few other actresses with her first release "Maine Pyar Kiya" opposite Salman Khan. The film and her role is appreciated by the fans and viewers even today. But the diva appeared in very few films after that and vanished from the big screen soon.
Gracey Singh
Gracey Singh's blockbuster performance in "Lagaan" opposite Aamir Khan and in "Munnabhai MBBS" with Sanjay Dutt won the audience's heart. Butthe actress soon lost the charm and made a quiet exit from tinsel town.
Mahima Chaudhary
Mahima Chaudhary mesmerised viewers with her award winning performance in Subash Ghai's "Pardes". While the actress' talent touched everyone's heart and also got her a few other projects, the magic seems to have waned soon.
Bhumika Chawla
Bhumika Chawla's hard-hitting debut performance in "Tere Naam" opposite Salman Khan fetched her numerous awards. But, the actress failed to garner appreciation with other movies and has not been seen in Hindi movies since 2007.
Apart from the above, Sandali Sinha, Zareen Khan, Lisa Ray, Sneha Ullal and Gayatri Joshi are a few others who could not make it big in Bollywood.
