Dia Mirza, who has been dating producer-director Sahil Sangha for five long years, finally tied the knot in the presence of close friends and family in New Delhi.
The former beauty queen got engaged to her long-time beau and business partner in New York earlier this year.
Looking stunning in a Ritu Kumar ensemble, Mirza told The Indian Express, "Since, I am not getting married in Hyderabad and being a Hyderabadi, I chose this outfit to add some Hyderabadi flavour to my wedding. I feel like a typical Hyderabadi bride."
The groom, who looked dapper in a Raghavendra Rathore outfit, reportedly acknowledged the presence of close friends and family adding everyone worked hard to make the day a special one for the newly-wed couple.
Explaining in detail the groom's attire, Rathore said the idea was to complement Mirza's heavily embellished lehenga. "The look is classic with no embroidery and comprises a cream silk linen brocade achkan with an emerald green pocket square. This has been paired with an inner emerald green kurta, which matches with what Dia wore," IANS quoted the designer as saying.
The wedding, since it was a private ceremony, was attended by a few close friends. According to sources, Lara Dutta, Sushmita Sen, Zayed Khan and Cyrus Sahukar were present at the occasion to convey their best wishes. However, there have also been a buzz that the actress will arrange for a reception for his industry friends in Mumbai.
Mirza and Sangha, together own the Born Free Entertainment, and have produced "Love Breakups Zindagi" and "Bobby Jasoos" so far.
