Manchester United's record signing Angel Di Maria may have had to settle on the bench for the last couple of weeks, but the Argentine's flamboyance and skill seem to be intact as he recently scored a brilliant goal with a rabona kick from a corner during a shoot for an advertisement for Adidas.
The 26-year-old winger, who joined United from Real Madrid for a British record of £59.7 million, managed to start his Old Trafford career on a bright note, doing exceptionally well in the first couple of games.
However, since then his form seems to have hit the rocks as he has been pretty poor of late.
Di Maria's sending off (for pushing the referee) during United's clash against Arsenal in the semi-final of the FA Cup proved to be the final straw for manager Louis van Gaal as the Argentine has not started in a single game for the Red Devils since then.
The former Benfica's recent performances have also prompted many to question the Argentine's skill and quality, and whether he was worth the hefty price tag.
But the Argentine has shown exactly what he is capable of by scoring a screamer during a shoot for an advertisement with Adidas.
Adidas, who are Di Maria's sponsors, shared a video of a phenomenal piece of skill by the Argentine on Sunday.
The winger, who is primarily a right footed player, instead of practicing to make his weaker foot more strong, seems to have mastered the rabona (a technique where the kicking leg is wrapped around the back of the other leg to shoot the ball rather than using the weaker foot).
The winger, who was seen executing the rabona here and there during his days at Benfica and Real Madrid, seems to have now mastered it as he scored a brilliant goal from a corner using that same technique.
