Veteran actor Mohan Bhandari, who appeared on television shows during the 80s and 90s, died on Thursday evening after a long battle with brain tumuor.
Mohan, who is the father of "Tere Sheher Mein" actor Dhruv Bhandari, was struggling with brain tumour for the last few years.
Mohan is known for his appearance on television show "Khandaan" on Doordarshan, which also featured Neena Gupta, and "Raja Aur Rancho".
He also appeared in shows like "Karz", "Parampara", "Jeevan Mrityu", "Pathjhad", "Gumraah", "Mile Sur Mera Tumhara" and "Saat Phere - Saloni Ka Safar".
Apart from television shows, he has also appeared in movies, including "Yalgaar" and Aamir Khan starrer "Mangal Pandey-The Rising".
Dhruv had earlier informed the media about his father's illness.
"From being absolutely healthy, he now lives a life of restrictions because of brain tumour. The last two years have been very difficult for my entire family and the most for him," he told The Times of India.
