Despite the fact that "Dhoom 3" has entered into third week, the film is still getting exceptional response at the box office. Maintaining a strong hold at the collection center on third Monday, the film raked in ₹2.10 crore from Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions.
The two new releases "Mr Joe B Carvalho" and "Sholay 3D" did not affect the business of Aamir Khan starrer "Dhoom 3" in India.
The overall 18 days total of the film at domestic market now stands at 272.32 crore.
"Dhoom 3- All Languages 3rd Monday Hindi Rs 2.02 Cr Tamil & Telugu ₹ 0.08 Cr Total ₹ 2.10 Cr Grand Total:- ₹ 272.32 Cr," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
The film is heading for whopping ₹300 crore mark at domestic box office. It requires more ₹28 crore from domestic market before finishing its theatrical run.
If the film maintains the same pace in its third and fourth week and earns approximately ₹2 crore each day till its theatrical run, then there are possibilities that "Dhoom 3" will create the ₹300 crore club.
The first two ₹100 crore and ₹200 crore club was created by Aamir's films "Ghajini" and "3 Idiots" respectively.
Meanwhile, the film will end the third week with around ₹20 crore in its pocket. It remains to be seen whether "Dhoom 3" will cross "3 Idiots" and "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" third week total of ₹33 crore and ₹19 crore respectively.
"Dhoom 3" directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya is the first film to reach the ₹500 crore mark with gross total.
"In terms of *gross BO numbers*, #Dhoom3 is the first Hindi film to cross ₹ 500 cr mark *worldwide*. Creates History," Adarsh tweeted.
Produced under Yash Raj banners, the film also features Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra and Katrina Kaif in lead roles.
