Dhanush's Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 first look, motion poster out

Dhanush has been talking about making a special announcement for a while and he has finally made it official on Wednesday, November 9. Well, he has formally revealed that he is teaming up with his sister-in-law Soundarya Rajinikanth for Velaiilla Pattadhari 2.

He has announced the news by unveiling the first look and motion poster of Velaiilla Pattadhari 2. The movie is made on Dhanush's home banner WunderBar Films in association with Kalaippuli S Thanu's V Creations.

Sean Roldan is composing songs for Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 and the makers have decided to use Anirudh Ravichander's background score from the first instalment. Besides acting and producing the movie, Dhanush has written the story and dialogues for the upcoming film, while Soundarya Rajinikanth will write the screenplay. 

Velaiyilla Pattathari was written and directed by Velraj. Amala Paul had played the female lead in the film, which has Anirudh Ravichander's music. The movie is about Raghuvaran, who is unemployed for years, gets humiliated by his father, comparing him with his IT brother. After much struggle, he finds his dream job. But his enemy is ready to bring him down. What follows next remains the best part of the story.

It is not clear whether Velaiilla Pattadhari will be the continuation of the first part or the sequel will be made with a fresh story. However, it will be a bilingual movie made in Tamil and Telugu.

Coming to Soundarya Rajinikanth, she made her directorial debut in her father Rajinikanth's Kochadaiiyaan, which bombed at the box office. The young filmmaker, who is now seeking divorce from her husband Ashwin, is ready for her second directorial film with huge hopes of delivering a hit at the box office, thereby creating an identity for herself in the industry.
