Dhanush has recently revealed his release plans of his next film Power Paandi. He has said that the movie will be out on April 14.
It is a special day for him for two reasons: the first being Tamil New Year and second it is his mother's birthday. "Power Paandi will release on 14-4-2017. Happens to be my mother's birthday," Dhanush wrote on his Twitter page.
However, it is interesting to note that Power Pandi will lock horns with Ajith's next movie, which is presently being referred to as Thala 57. The makers of this flick had announced long before about their release plans. So, the audience will witness a rare box office clash.
Generally, filmmakers avoid clash of big movies at the box office as it will have negative impact on both the films. Surprisingly, Dhanush seems to be not worried about it.
However, the film has started garnering positive reviews with director Selvaraghavan having good words about the flick. "Saw almost the whole film. I can guarantee, you will fall in love with him, a power packed Raj Kiran sir," he wrote on his Twitter page.
Power Paandi is an important film for Dhanush as it marks his directorial debut. He himself has bankrolled the project on his home banner of WunderBar Films. Rajkiran plays an imporant role in the forthcoming movie.
Prasanna will be seen in a cameo in Power Paandi, which has Chaya Singh, Delhi Ganesh, Robo Shankar, Vidyu Raman and others in the cast. '
The film has Sean Roldan's music, Velraj's cinematography and GK Prasanna's editing.
Coming to Thala 57, it is a spy-thriller majorly shot in Europe. The Siruthai Siva-directorial has Kajal Aggarwal and Akshara Haasan in the female lead roles.
