South star Dhanush's upcoming Bollywood debut flick, "Raanjhanaa" is not yet hit the theatres but he has landed an opportunity to star in another Hindi film directed by Anand L Rai.
The actor is all set to start his new film, a Tamil-Hindi bilingual, with Anand in 2014. The untitled project will be jointly produced by Dhanush under his Wunderbar Films and Anand.
Confirming the news, Dhanush tweeted on his microblogging site saying, "It's final.glad 2 announce dat I'm doin a film wid Anand l rai in 2014 which wil b a bilingual n will b produced by wunderbar films n Anand."
Anand happens to be the director of "Raanjhanaa", a love story set in the backdrop of Banares. The film has Dhanush starring opposite Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor. Abhay Deol, Swara Bhaskar, Mohammad Zeeshan, Shilpi Marwaha and Suraj Singh are in supporting roles.
"Raanjhanaa" will be released on 21 June. The Tamil version titled, "Ambikapathy" will have dialogues written by John Mahendran. Ace lyricist Vairamuthu is penning the lyrics and oscar winner AR Rahman will be composing the music.
Apart from his Hindi debut, Dhanush has his hands full this year with multiple projects in Tamil. The actor, who achieved national fame with "Kolaveri Di" song, will be seen in two Tamil films - "Mariyaan" and "Naiyaandi" - in 2013 - Bharatbala's romantic-drama "Mariyaan" has Dhanush appearing as a fisherman. The film will be released before the first half of this year. The actor has also begun shooting for Tamil comedy "Naiyaandi" directed by Sarkunam. Dhanush will also begin shooting for K V Anand's untitled film in August.
"Yes guys...much 2 d delight of u all and myself iam doing a film with k v anand sir.the technicians are yet 2 b finalised.shoot 4m august," the actor had earlier tweeted.
This will be the first time Dhanush will be working with K V Anand, who is known for popular films like "Ayan", "Ko" and "Maatran."
