Latest buzz in Kollywood is that the national-award winning actor Dhanush might produce a film starring Ilayathalapathy Vijay in the near future.
It is being said that Dhanush has approached Vijay and requested his dates for a new film that he will produce under his home banner, reported OnlyKollywood. However, there is no official confirmation regarding this.
Vijay is currently busy shooting for Murugadoss's "Kaththi" and it is likely to be wrapped up soon.
Post the completion of "Kaththi", Vijay will shift his focus to his next project, to be directed by Chimbudevan. The fantasy-based film will reportedly be produced by P. T. Selvakumar, who was Vijay's manager, and Shibu of Thameen Movies. The shooting of the film, referred as "Vijay 58", is expected to commence in September/October.
On the other hand, Dhanush has his hands full with a couple of projects, including K. V. Anand's "Anegan", his second Bollywood film "Shamitabh" and Vetrimaran's film. He is also busy producing films under his home banner Wunderbar Films, which he founded in 2012.
Dhanush has been successfully donning several hats, including that of an actor, singer and producer.
The actor has produced films such as "Ethir Neechal", "3" and "Velai Illa Pattathari" ("VIP") under his home banner. He is also backing a few other projects like Sivakarthikeyan's "Taana" and director Manikandan's "Kaaka Muttai", which are expected to hit the screens soon.
Recently, Dhanush announced that he will be producing a new Tamil project. The film, titled "Naanum Rowdydhaan", starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara, will be directed by Vignesh Sivan of "Poda Podi" fame. It is in the pre-production stage and the shooting is expected to commence soon.
It needs to be seen whether the "VIP" actor and Ilayathalapathy will team up in the future. Apparently, Vijay and Dhanush share a very good rapport and they meet whenever time permits. Both the actors have a huge fan following worldwide. If they come together for a film, it will be a big treat for the fans.
