Dhanush and his superstar father-in-law Rajinikanth are set to share screen space for the first time. The duo will be acting together in Pa Ranjith's upcoming flick.
Rumours are rife that Dhanush, who is producing the movie, will be doing a small role. The news is creating a lot of buzz on social media with fans welcoming the development. It has been a long-time wish of fans to see the actors working together in a film.
The shooting will commence in the last week of May and more likely with a formal pooja on 28th of this month. The movie will be predominantly shot in Mumbai.
The untitled flick is a gangster story, which is based on Tamil don Mirza Haji Mastan, who stood up for the cause of Tamils in the commercial capital in 1980s.
Meanwhile, Santhosh Narayanan has been brought on board to compose the music. "Humbled to be part of #Thalaivar161. Thank you @superstarrajini @dhanushkraja and @beemji for making me part of this prestigious film [sic]," the music director confirmed the news on Twitter.
