It is quite rare for two top stars in Tollywood to come together for a multi-starer. In the upcoming movie Devadas, Tollywood star Nagarjuna will play a key role alongside 'Natural Star' Nani. As soon as the movie was announced, there were a lot of speculations regarding the lead roles.
After the first poster of the much-awaited movie was unveiled, filmgoers couldn't contain their excitement. Nagarjuna's father Akkineni Nageswar Rao had also acted in a movie titled Devadas.
Nagarjuna will be seen playing the role of a gangster named Deva, while Nani plays a doctor named Das in this movie. The first look poster of the movie features Nagarjuna and Nani on the bed. Nagarjuna seems to be drunk and has a gun in his hand while Nani can be seen wearing a stethoscope.
Both Nagarjuna and Nani took to Twitter to unveil the poster. "Usually I am used to having a PARU next to me but this time I am stuck with this DAS fellow #DevaDas #DDFirstlook this is going to be fun!!, [sic]" Nagarjuna posted.
After producing Mahanati, Tollywood producer Ashwini Dutt has returned to production with Devadas. The movie is directed by Sriram Aditya and will hit the screens on September 27. Music director Mani Sharma has composed the music for Devadas.
Actress Rashmika Mandanna, who impressed the audience with her appearance in Chalo, is all set to share the screen space with Nagarjuna and Nani. Akanksha Singh will also appear as the female lead in Devadas.
The shooting of Devadas is currently in progress. The last schedule of the film is being shot at Hyderabad.
