A major leak suggests 'The Taken King' will be the newest and upcoming expansion for Destiny.
The reveal comes off a "large marketing sheet" that was made available to Kotaku by a tipster. The sheet reveals the expansion's title, price and features.
First things first. The new Destiny expansion will reportedly be released on 15 September, 2015 and carrying the title The Taken King. The title was also accidently revealed from a Red Bull promotion.
The Taken King will be costing $40, a costly price tag.
The expansion will have new features as revealed by the tipster, such as the "existence of a new subclass for each of the game's three classes , along with a new elemental super ability..."
The super abilities are: Gravity Bow (Void) - Hunter, Electrical Storm (Arc) - Warlock, Flaming Hammer (Solar) - Titan.
"Hardcore Destiny players will notice that each of these abilities revolves around the element each respective class lacks today," it noted.
The new expansion will also be consisting of the "usual additions" like new Strikes, new PvP maps, etc.
The Taken King will also be including a new Raid featuring the father of Crota, Oryx. Players will be fighting against Oryx, who will be leading an army called The Taken.
Crota was the raid boss in The Dark Below, Destiny's first expansion.
There was no mention about the possible addition of a new planet to the game and whether Destiny players would be running in some new locales.
After the recent expansion last month, House of Wolves did not feature a raid. It however added a new social area and fixed issues from the first expansion.
We may get to know more about the expansion and Destiny at the upcoming E3 2015, since we already know Bungie will be showing Destiny.
"And, we'll see you at E3. That's right. You might have seen mention of Bungie this or Destiny that on E3 schedules. We'll have some things to tease. Wouldn't miss it for the world," it had said.
