Developer Bungie's upcoming action RPG first-person-shooter video game, Destiny will be getting exclusive content for PlayStation consoles. The game will be rolling out for both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
PlayStation exclusives will include maps, guns and ships. The exclusive content for PlayStation console owners have been detailed below (PlayStation Blog):
The Dust Palace Strike
PlayStation players will get access to three-player cooperative Strike, which is playable with either friends or after match making. The setting of the game will be in the Dust Palace, an ancient human skyscraper in the sand dunes of Mars. Players will be tracking a Cabal extraction team and will be battling a new enemy called as the Psion Flayers.
The Exodus Blue Competitive Multiplayer Map
This map will fit well with Control and Skirmish game modes in Destiny. It will feature a medium sized Crucible arena set in the Exodus Blue, a vessel that has been for long not in use but it was known to have brought hope and humanity to worlds that were beyond Earth. Guardians will be challenging each other in order to forge new hope and future.
Gear
Warlock class will get Manifold Seeker armor – this armor was specially built to survive the secret kingdoms of Vex. Titan class will get Vanir – an armor that will protect them against Cabal's heavy firepower
Weapons
The exclusive content includes two new weapons – Monte Carlo and Hawkmoon.
The Monte Carlo is an exotic assault rifle, which is sleek yet cruel. Upgrades to this weapon will improve the effectiveness of the 'hip fire' and it will also boost melee cool down. The gun will hold its ground at close ranges.
Hawkmoon is an exotic hand cannon and a gunslinger weapon. The weapon's side arm is smooth and its silver barrel has carved etchings. Damage boosts will increase the combat effectiveness and thus makes its good weapon to carry.
Ships
The exclusive content will also be inclusive of three new ships or vehicles:
- Aurora Wake - This ship was crafted by the Warlocks.
- Crypt Hammer – This is a variant of a deep-strike insertion ship which will be helpful in small spaces and it carries hardpoints.
- Outrageous Fortune - It is an explorer ship.
Destiny will be entering the beta stage on 17 July, initially for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 and only later will Xbox 360 and Xbox One editions get the beta version.
The game is expected to be released on 9 September. Though the PC port has not been officially announced by the studio, the PC port is being looked into.
