Iconic bike maker Royal Enfield's new limited edition Despatch motorcycles sold out in less than an hour.
If the latest reports on the web are to be believed, it only took 26 minutes for all the Depatch bikes to run out of stock. Considering the strong fan base of Royal Enfield and the limited numbers of the bikes, it is not surprising.
Despatch motorcycles were available in two variants: Desert Storm Despatch and Squadron Blue Despatch. A report of Indian Autos Blog states that only the Desert Storm variant has been sold out, and the second livery is still available.
The new Despatch Royal Enfield motorcycle has been priced at ₹2, 31,064 (on-road, Bangalore) and only 400 units were made available of this limited edition motorcycle in India (200 in each colour variant).
The motorcycles have original Despatch Rider motorcycle-inspired Matte black finish on engine, indicators, exhaust and silencer and Genuine Italian leather seats. It comes with unique camouflage pattern embossed hallmark detailing particulars of its manufacture.
The Despatch bike gets power from 499cc Single Cylinder, 4 stroke engine that is tuned to dish out 27.2 bhp of power @ 5250 rpm and 41.3 Nm @ 4000 rpm.
