"Descendants of the Sun" actor Song Joong Ki is set to meet with Taiwanese fans in Taipei on Saturday as part of his ongoing Asia Tour, and the Criminal Investigation Bureau has advised his fans to be careful of ticket fraud.
According to China Post, tickets for the event were sold out minutes after the purchasing system went online, and many who weren't able to purchase tickets online fell prey to fraudsters looking to make some quick money. Reportedly, more than dozens of people have been conned just between May 27 and 31.
Not much is known about Saturday's event, which will be held at the National Taiwan University Sports Center. But fans have their hopes on Joong Ki's "Descendants of the Sun" co-star Song Hye Kyo putting in an appearance. She was the surprise element in one of his earlier shows and audience was thrilled to see the on-screen couple together.
During an interaction with fans, Hye Kyo said she was impressed with Joong Ki's popularity with the Chinese audience. "I had a sense of Song Joong Ki's popularity through the internet and news articles, but actually coming here and seeing this for myself makes me feel happier and more nervous than him," she said, reported Soompi.
Heaping praises on the actor, Hye Kyo revealed she was happy to have worked with Joong Ki, who has often been described as a thoughtful and sincere actor. "I was looking forward to meeting him since so many people told me good things about him, and it turned out that he was an even better person than I'd thought. He's very sincere and thoughtful when filming. I think he's really cool," the actress said.
"Descendants of the Sun" is currently filming Season 2. However, Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki will not be a part of the love story next year.
