Dense fog disrupted operations at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi on Monday morning and led to rescheduling of over 40 flights.
The fog started to descend on the airport from last night affecting the visibility in the runway and disrupting schedules. The fog became denser around 7 am, forcing the airport authorities to delay over 40 flights.
A PTI report quoting authorities said that five flights were cancelled overnight and 16 flights delayed "either due to operational reasons or due to poor weather."
The fog had disrupted airport operations for four days last week, affecting the schedules of over 130 flights.
