The domestic football season might be over in Europe, and fans are already getting bored without the sport. However, they could come to life when giants of Europe, Germany takes on Denmark in an international friendly in Copenhagen on Tuesday.
When it comes to such friendly matches, people might question the players on their intensity level, but make no mistake, they will only play to win. This Denmark vs Germany friendly has been organised to celebrate their 25th anniversary of 1992 Euro Championship.
Germany is without some of its key stars including Matt Hummels, Manuel Neuer and Mesut Ozil among others for this clash, which means that the youngsters will be given a chance by manager Joachim Low. The skipper for the friendly has not been decided yet as the manager is yet to finalise his playing XI.
Germany will be more than determined to pick up an impressive win as it could give them the much-needed confidence ahead of the Confederations Cup 2017, which is scheduled to start from June 17. They will also face San Marino in the World Cup qualifier on Saturday.
If Germany is preparing for the Confederations Cup and the qualifier match, Denmark, likewise, is also looking forward to use this game as a preparation for their next match against Kazakhstan.
Denmark, however, for this special friendly, will be without their star goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel. They will depend on their world-class players like Christian Eriksen and Yussuf Poulsen against Germany.
Germany, with their star players and their attacking style of football, will be huge favourites for the match, and Denmark will be aware of that. The home team will be looking to latch onto any opportunity that comes their way.
