Dell India has launched a new Android powered tablet in India. Named Venue 8 7000, the consumer electronics manufacturer claims it to be the world's thinnest table available till date.
Along with the Venue 8 7000, Dell has expanded its Alienware, XPS and Inspiron series of laptops by introducing new models.
In its Inspiron portfolio, Dell introduced two new models - Inspiron 5000 and Inspiron 15. The Inspiron 5000 is available for Rs.39,990, while the XPS 13 is available for Rs.70,990, which includes an on-site warranty of 2 years.
In the gaming laptop series Alenware, Dell has introduced two models - Alienware 15 and Alienware 17 for Rs.1,25,990 and Rs.1,45,990, respectively.
The Dell Venue 8 7000 boasts of an 8-inch OLED infinity edge-to-edge display with a resolution of 1600x2560 pixels resolution. The Android powered tablet comes with a measured thickness of 6mm and houses Intel RealSense 3D Snapshot Depth camera. Dell claims the camera can provide better depth to the images so that result images don't lose clarity even after cropping.
The Dell Venue 8 7000 is powered by an 2.3GHz Quad-core Intel Atom Z3500 processor backed with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM memory. The tablet sports an 8MP rear camera with AutoFocus and 2MP front camera.
The Dell Venue 8 7000 tablet will be available in India around July this year at a starting price of Rs.34,999.
On the other hand, the XPS 13 will sport a quad HD display and will be powered by an Intel Core i7 processor. It will boast of SSD instead of traditional hard drives. The new Alienware laptops will come with a built-in overclocking mode to impress hardcore gamers.
