The US multinational Dell has added two more Android specific tablet devices to its Venue portfolio. Named as Dell Venue 7 and Dell Venue 8, the devices will allow users to call and surf on the web using 3G connectivity.
Running on Android 4.4 KitKat Operating System, Venue 7 has been powered by an Intel Atom Z3460 dual-core processor running up to 1.2GHz of clock speed. It features a seven-inch Direct bond IPS display with a resolution capacity of 1280x800 pixels.
The Android tablet also includes Intel HD Graphics using Imagination's PowerVR G6400 graphics capability. Venue 7 also comes with 1GB LP DDR3 RAM and 16GB eMMC in-built storage. The KitKat tablet also features necessary connectivity supports like Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi 802.11.
Dell Venue 8 features a 8-inch direct bond full HD IPS display with 1920x1200 pixel resolutions. Boasting an Intel Atom Z3480 2.1GHz Dual-Core processor with WWAN, Venue 8 features 1GB LP DDR3 RAM and 16GB eMMC hard drive based storage. The device integrates an Intel LTE mobile broadband chipset along with Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity and WiFi connectivity.
The American multinational computer technology is offering one year license of Dropbox with 20GB of storage with every tablet. They have also added few essential own developed apps to provide a better experience to the user.
An accidental damage service for one year will also be offered with each tablet. The service will offer protection against damages happened accidentally, for example, liquid spill, drops, surges or screen cracks.
P Krishna Kumar, Executive Director and General Manager, Consumer and Small Business, Dell India said, "Dell is focusing strongly on the tablet segment in India. With voice enablement, we are confident of capturing a sizable part of the highly segmented tablet market. The addition of voice calling comes as a result of customer feedback that highlighted how increasingly consumers feel the need to converge their mobile technology needs into a single device. Backed by Dell's strong distribution network and the latest addition of the mobile specialty retail (MSR) network, our consumers will be able to experience and buy this product quite easily".
Dell Venue 7 voice-enabled tablet will be available for ₹14,999 and Dell Venue 8 will be retailed for ₹18,999.
