Police have drawn a sketch of the accused in the Delhi school rape case based on details revealed by the seven-year-old victim.
The child also told police that she had not often seen the accused at the Mangolpuri Municipal Primary School where she was studying in.
Meanwhile, five employees of the school were suspended in connection to the incident which took place on 27 February.
Among those suspended were the victim's class teacher, school inspector, school attendant, guard and principal of the school.
"School inspector Balraj Singh, principal Neelam Karwal, class teacher Monica Kohli, school attendant Sushila, watchman Kailash have been suspended in the alleged sexual assault case at Mangolpuri Municipal Primary School MCD Commissioner BK Gupta told IANS.
No arrests have been made so far but police have detained ten people for interrogation. Some of the suspects were sent for a Test Identification Parade, but the victim who is traumatized by the incident has failed to identify them.
According to NDTV, police have sought the help of a non-government organisation to counsel the child and get more details from her.
The incident came to light on Friday when the victim's parents filed a complaint with the police. A rape case was registered.
The girl had confided in her parents two days after the incident took place. She revealed that she was sexually assaulted by a stranger who threatened of dire consequences if she told anyone about it.
The traumatised girl was immediately taken to hospital where the doctors confirmed sexual assault.
Shortly after a case was registered, the victim's neighbours and other local residents held protests outside the hospital on Friday alleging that the police did not take action against the accused. The protests took a violent turn when the angry mob pelted stones at vehicles and damaged hospital property.
