Deepika Padukone had a big fight with the Times of India over the "cleavage controversy" last year, and now another headline of a story in the newspaper's supplement has raised the hackles of Twitterati.
"I could be naked in front of Ranveer...and I know he will never hurt me: Deepika". The front page of Bombay Times carried this headline on Thursday for an interview with Deepika, during which she spoke about the emotional equation she shares with her rumoured boyfriend Ranveer Singh.
While the headline suggests Deepika revealed some very private details of her and Ranveer's relationship, in reality the "Bajirao Mastani" actress was talking about only the emotional aspect of her bonding with the actor.
The actual interview question was, "Ranveer says he feels a divine connection with you. What do you feel?"
In response to this, Deepika is quoted as saying: "He is my best friend (and this is not to be taken lightly). I am emotional, sensitive and vulnerable and I hurt easily. I can be so naked in front of Ranveer...and I know he will never hurt me or take me for granted. That is the kind of trust and understanding we have. The reason I love and respect him is that I can bare my soul and still feel comfortable. If this is divine connection-this is what it is!"
Though there has not been any reaction from Deepika on this, the headline has been changed in the online version of the interview.
However, the hornet's nest has already been stirred, with some people on Twitter slamming the daily for using such a "misleading" headline.
