An actor grows with the films he does. But sometimes the superstars reject a few films, which they think won't be a great hit.

From King Khan and Hrithik Roshan to Deepika Padukone and Kajol, many stars have turned down famous roles. Though one film might not really affect their stardom too much, accepting those offers would clearly have added more charm to it. However, these rejected roles turned out to be beneficial to other actors' career who accepted the offer.

Here are the actors who turned down quite prominent roles.

Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan got lucky in his initial days of career bagging the lead in 1992 film "Deewana." The Rishi Kapoor and Divya Bharti starrer marked SRK's debut, but not many know that the role was initially offered to Armaan Kohli who walked out of the film.

However, the actor has has his share of bad decisions. He is said to have rejected "Lagaan", " Munnabhai MBBS", "Rang De Basanti", "3 Idiots" and many more.

Deepika Padukone

The reigning queen of Bollywood Deepika Padukone has rejected many good movies, two of which were opposite Salman Khan – "Sultan" and "Shuddhi." The diva has also turned down offers including "Jab Tak Hai Jaan", " Dhoom 3", "Roy" and Hollywood film "Fast & Furious 7."

Hrithik Roshan

"Krrish" of Bollywood rejected good roles, which could have taken his career graph to a new height. The "Bang Bang" actor reportedly turned down "Dil Chahta Hai", Siddharth's role in "Rang De Basanti" and "Swades".

Kajol

The bubbly girl of B-Town has given many blockbusters to the Indian film industry but has also turned down many good offers. She was offered the role of 'Pia' in the film "3 Idiots" but the diva rejected it. The list doesn't end here as Kajol is also said to have turned down the role of Zaara in "Veer-Zaara", lead role in "Chalte Chalte", Nandini's role in "Shakti" and many other films. The actress was supposed to make her comeback with Ram Madhvani's film, but has reportedly backed out of the project.

Salman Khan

Salman Khan was lucky to bag a role in Karan Johar's "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" when Ajay Devgn walked out the film. But the actor has turned down many legendary movies such as "Baazigar", Saif Ali Khan's role in "Kal Ho Na Ho" and the superhit "Chak De India."

Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif has turned down many prominent roles opposite A-list actors. She rejected the role of Ileana D'Cruz in the film "Barfi!", and also turned down blockbuster hits – "Chennai Express," Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" and "Ram-leela."

Aamir Khan

Shah Rukh Khan's famous 'K..Kiran' from the film "Darr" was first offered to Aamir Khan. But the latter rejected the role as it was negative and recommended to SRK.

Kareena Kapoor Khan

The Begum has rejected the most number of the films in B-Town. "Kaho Na Pyar Hai", "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam", "Kal Ho Na Ho", "Fashion" and "Ram-Leela" were all initially offered to Kareena.

Saif Ali Khan

Saif Ali Khan turned down the offer of playing 'Raj' in the legendry film "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge." SRK got lucky to get the role nad create a history in the Indian film industry.

Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut, who has given many blockbuster hits and is now one among the good actresses, rejected Vidya Balan's "The Dirty Picture."
