Of late, Bollywood stars are increasingly seen crooning in their films and the trend has become quite popular.
Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor and Salman Khan are among those who have come out of their comfort zone of acting and explored their hidden talent of singing.
And the latest one to join the bandwagon is none other than Deepika Padukone.
Rumours have been doing the rounds that Padukone who is shooting for Imtiaz Ali's "Tamasha" opposite ex-beau Ranbir Kapoor, is likely to croon for one of the songs for the film with music maestro A.R. Rahman, reported Absolute India.
"Rahman is one of those music composers who usually gets very involved with the project beyond the music and gets along well with actors. Imtiaz and he go a long way back as the two have worked previously as well. They share a great comfort level so when Tamasha was being planned, it was obvious that Rahman would score the music," a source told the daily.
Recently, Rahman shared a picture on his social networking site, where he along with Ali and "Happy New Year" actress are seen engrossed in music. The picture gives a hint at Padukone's music lessons with the legendary music composer and singer.
"However, what was surprising was that Imtiaz turned up with Deepika for one of their musical sessions; it was surprising to see the actress accompany him for the meeting. Rahman even posted a picture of the trio on his social networking page," the source added.
If rumours are anything to go by, the "Bajirao Mastani" actress showcasing her vocal skills while romancing her ex-boyfriend on-screen, would surely be a treat to her fans.
"Tamasha" produced by Shajid Nadiadwala, will bring the sizzling pair Kapoor and Padukone back on screen for the second time after they starred in the blockbuster movie "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani."
The film has been shot in multiple locations including Shimla and Delhi. A major portion of the film has also been shot in Corsica, France.
