After "Bajrangi Bhaijaan," filmmaker Kabir Khan is teaming up with Salman Khan again for his next flick and Deepika Padukone will reportedly be seen as the lead actress in the film. The recent buzz is that Deepika had put up a condition in front of the director before accepting this offer.
"Deepika signed this film with Salman on a condition that Kabir Khan promised her a meaty role. She did not want a small part, which is typical for any Salman movie. She has clearly asked Kabir to be careful of her part in the film," Bollywood Life quoted a source as saying.
Deepika, who has always showed her interest in working with Salman, does not want to compromise on her role due to her wish to work with the "Sultan" actor. The actress is considered to be one of the top stars in Bollywood, thus her condition to get a meaty role can be understood.
Salman's films is mainly focused on him and not on the actresses, like Sonam Kapoor in "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" and Kareena Kapoor Khan in "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" were sidelined. It seems after seeing this, Deepika had put up this condition.
After giving back-to-back hit movies like "Piku" and "Bajirao Mastani," Deepika bagged her first Hollywood project, "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage," opposite Vin Diesel. Kabir's film is said to be her first Bollywood project after "Bajirao Mastani."
On the other hand, the film is set to go on floors by June this year and is expected to be released in Eid 2017. Salman is trying to wrap up "Sultan" shoot by May so that he can work with Kabir from June.
Director Kabir took to Twitter at the beginning of this month to announce that he will be working with Salman next. "YES... WE ARE COMING BACK... EID 2017," he had tweeted along with a photo of him with Salman. This is the third time Kabir is teaming up with Salman, after "Ek Tha Tiger" (2007) and "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" (2015).
