Just when one thought Deepika Padukone and Kangana Ranaut's cold war had been quelled, it resurfaced and this time it was the former's comment that lit the fire.
"Really!! She said that? Then why she makes these desperate calls to paint a parallel reality and sends never ending cunning texts to invite me for her trials and parties? Well, she seems rather invested in the irrelevant stuff," BollywoodLife quoted the "Rangoon" actress as saying.
This reaction was in response to Deepika's recent statement in which she said how her relationship with Kangana was one-sided and irrelevant. "I have way too much going in my life so what people say, what people do, what people think is really irrelevant," she told Filmfare.
The whole taking jibe at one another deal has been on for quite a few months now. It first started when Deepika dedicated an award to Kangana saying she deserved it more than her. The latter, instead of acknowledging the kind gesture, said if she really meant it that much she could have just made a call.
Kangana, however, went ahead and made public statements about her phone conversation with the other actress in question which proved harmful for their budding friendship. What completely ruined chances of them ever being friends was Deepika skipping "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" screening due to prior work commitments.
In other news, Kangana will be next seen in Vishal Bhardwaj's "Rangoon" alongside Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. Meanwhile, Deepika hasn't signed projects this year.
