Although Deepika Padukone said she would think about Bollywood projects once she is back from Toronto, where she has been shooting for "XXX: The Return of Xander Cage", this new piece of news will have her fans thrilled. The charming leading lady may share screen space with Hrithik Roshan in Sajid Nadiadwala's next.
"Sajid has been quite keen to work with Deepika. But that hasn't worked out due to several issues. However, there are chances that Deepika might sign up for his next production with Kabir," a source told DNA. It will be Christmas at the box-office for the makers, if the materialises.
To be directed by Kabir Khan, the film could have had Kangana Ranaut in the lead but the nasty, sly fight that she and Roshan got into last month has pushed her out of the race. An insider told Bollywood Hungama how the suave 42-year-old star doesn't want anything to do with the actress and has requested his friends not to mention her to him.
"It is elementary calculation. You badmouth a top hero you get ostracized not just by the hero but all his friends. Kangna had earlier taken on Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt during the shooting of David Dhawan's Rascal. She has also got into the bad books of Shahid Kapoor, though he is doing Rangoon, her only project on the floors, with her now," the source further added.
In other news, Roshan is recovering from an injury he suffered on the sets of "Mohenjo Daro". The shooting schedules of the period-drama and "Kaabil" have been delayed and the actor resumes work only by the end of this month.
