Deepika Padukone has finally responded to the rumours of her rivalry with Priyanka Chopra. There has been a buzz that professional competition has turned their equation sour, but the Tamasha actress denied it.
Deepika said that her professional ambitions are much different than that of Priyanka's and thus, there is no question of competition between the two leading actresses.
"Everyone will have a different path and a different journey. What she wants from her career will be very different from what I want and that needs to be understood and respected," said Deepika in an interview with Vogue magazine.
Denying the buzz of their friendship turning into a catfight, the XXX: The Return of Xander Cage actress said: "We have had very different beginnings. I still remember I was in school when she won Miss World. I have known her for many years and nothing has changed."
Both the divas are currently two of the most popular Bollywood actresses. The rumours of their rivalry have ignited more after Deepika and PeeCee had announced their respective Hollywood debuts.
While Deepika will share screen space with Vin Diesel in XXX: The Return of Xander Cage, Priyanka will appear alongside Dwayne Johnson in the movie Baywatch. Both the movies will be released next year.
Apart from the Hollywood movie, Deepika has started shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati that also features Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. However, Priyanka does not have any upcoming Bollywood project as of now.
