Deepika Padukone, the lead actress of "Ram-leela" has apparently skipped the promotion of her upcoming film on "Bigg Boss 7" and it was only Ranveer Singh who promoted the upcoming film on the reality show.
"Ram-leela" lead pair Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are leaving no stone unturned to promote their upcoming romantic film. With the release date of the film approaching fast, the actors are seen promoting their films on almost all popular reality shows and radio stations.
While at some shows, Ranveer and Deepika promoted the film together, at some shows the actors promoted the film separately.
But what has raised eyebrows is that Ranveer alone promoted his film on "Bigg Boss". Deepika's absence in "Bigg Boss 7" has surprised the onlookers as she had expressed her desire to work with Salman Khan, who is the host of the reality show.
Instead, Deepika chose popular comedy show "Comedy Nights With Kapil" for the promotions of the film.
"Deepika has been expressing her desire to work with Salman Khan for a long time now. She was supposed to be part of the Sallu-starrer 'Kick'. But according to the buzz, Deepika's closeness to Shah Rukh Khan had something with the decision of not including her in a Salman-starrer," a source told Mid-Day.
But a source close to actress has said that Deepika was busy with other commitments.
"Deepika was not supposed to go for 'Bigg Boss'. She was busy with her other commitments. Her promotion schedule does not include being part of Salman's show," the source said.
Deepika and Ranveer, however, shot for Kapil Sharma's popular comedy show on 5 November. Deepika last appeared on the show for the promotion of the blockbuster film "Chennai Express".
"Ram-leela" directed and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali is based on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. The film, which has been in controversies for the content ever since its trailer was released, will hit screens on 15 November.
