The grand launch of "Bajirao Mastani" song "Pinga", which was about to take place on Saturday, was put off in the wake of the Paris attack.
As the team of "Bajirao Mastani" was deeply saddened with the terror attack, Eros Now declared on social media that the song launch had been postponed.
"In the wake of the Paris attacks that happened this morning, we have decided to call off the "Pinga" song launch that was to happen today," Eros Now tweeted on Saturday.
The song is now set to release at noon today, i.e., 15 November.
"Pinga" is said to be a larger-than-life dance number featuring Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone dressed in traditional Maharashtrian style.
Choreographed by Remo D'souza, "Pinga" is said to have been shot in Mumbai over 10 days.
Back in 2002, Madhuri Dixit Nene and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had sizzled with their dance moves in "Dola Re Dola" from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Devdas". And now, Bhansali is all set to create a similar magic on screen with Priyanka and Deepika in "Pinga".
"Bajirao Mastani" also features Ranveer Singh, who is playing the role of Peshwa Bajirao. Deepika plays the role of "Mastani", while Priyanka will be seen as Bajirao's first wife Kashibai.
The period drama is based on the love story of Peshwa Bajirao and Mastani. However, the story of Bajirao's troubled first wife Kashibai is an important part of the film, too.
Till date, all three actors have been seen in comedy and romantic roles, but this time they will appear on the big screen in much more challenging roles.
Interestingly, "Bajirao Mastani" will clash with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol's much-awaited flick "Dilwale", with both films releasing on 18 December.
