Bollywood beauty Deepika Padukone has spoken about her failed attempt at working in Hollywood.
Earlier this year, reports of the actress making her Hollywood debut with "Fast and Furious 7" did the rounds. Despite clearing the screen test, Deepika didn't sign up for the film due to her packed schedule.
The actress has no qualms about losing out to the plum project and feels that her efforts are being paid off with the success of her latest film "Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela".
"I don't regret it. I had to work out things for 'Ram-Leela' here, I couldn't have left the process mid way, I had given my commitment here first. Looking at the way the film (Ram-Leela) has got response, I feel good as my hard work has paid off," Deepika told Press Trust of India.
Incidentally, the shooting of "Fast and Furious 7" shooting is stalled with the death of Paul Walker, one of film's leading actors.
The "Cocktail" actress is still open to Hollywood projects and hopes for a meaningful role, irrespective of the duration.
"I would love to do a Hollywood film. The reason for me to do a Hollywood film is same as what I do here in Bollywood...The role has to be of impact, this is what matters, the length of it (role) doesn't. A good actor can make a presence felt even in a short time," she said.
Deepika has had a marvelous year with four back-to-back hits, She is currently shooting for "Happy New Year" with Farah Khan and Shah Rukh, her debut team in "Om Shanti Om."
Ecstatic about the experience of reuniting, Deepika said, "I owe everything to Farah Khan and Shahrukh Khan as they were the ones who launched me in films with Om Shanti Om. My equation with them has not changed. Farah and Shahrukh both are still protective about me," reported Bollywoodlife.
Apart from "Happy New Year", Deepika has also wrapped up Homi Adajania's short film "Finding Fanny Fernandes".
