Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif are two of the most sought after actresses in Bollywood and reports suggest that the duo has been snatching away each other's movies.
It has been reported that Deepika replaced Katrina in Aanand L Rai's upcoming movie and the "Baar Baar Dekho" actress avenged it by replacing her in Karan Johar's next.
As reported, Aanand L Rai was planning to cast Katrina opposite Shah Rukh Khan in his upcoming movie, but the director instead took Deepika on board at the last hour. "He went ahead and cast DP in the film instead. It will now be her, SRK and another heroine who plays the second lead. Kat won't be comfortable playing second fiddle to Dippy. So, that film is out of the question," DNA quoted a source as saying.
The report also said that Karan Johar was thinking to introduce a fresh pairing of Deepika and Fawad Khan in his next film directed by Shakun Batra. However, Katrina bagged the project after she became one of the favourites of Karan after shooting for "Baar Baar Dekho."
Both the yet to be titled movies will go on floors on this November.
Deepika will next be seen in her debut Hollywood movie "XXX: The Return of Xander Cage" that features Vin Diesel in lead and will be released on Jan. 20, 2017. On the other side, Katrina will romance Sidharth Malhotra for the first time in upcoming flick "Baar Baar Dekho," scheduled to hit the screens on Sep. 9 this year.
